SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY FOR ALL

Launched: Global Tracking Framework for Transport 3.0

Today SuM4all is excited to announce the launch of the Global Tracking Framework for Transport (GTF 3.0) – the leading global repository of country-level transport data and indicators. The GTF provides indicators and data for 183 countries to measure, track and assess the performance of a country’s transport system and its capacity to deliver on four global policy goals: universal access, efficiency, safety, and green mobility—across all modes of transportation (road, air, maritime, and rail).

Launched initially in 2017, this updated GTF provides more indicators and more recent data from member organizations of the SuM4All Partnership - freely accessible on the Data Module of the Policy Decision-Making Tool for Sustainable Mobility, with the view that “what gets measured, get done”. Major upgrades include:

  • Updated Global Sustainable Mobility Index (GSMI) for 183 countries, with country ranking on sustainable mobility.
  • 16 new transport-related indicators added to the existing 44.
  • Income group benchmarking for all indicators, across all countries, based on current World Bank Country Income Group Classification.
  • Updated country dashboard for 183 countries, allowing tracking overtime and benchmarking, by accessing the Country Mobility Performance Dashboards webpage.

The GTF is updated regularly with new data and new indicators.
