SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY FOR ALL

SuM4All celebrates 10th consortium meeting anniversary as partners call for more action in countries

Sustainable Mobility for All (SuM4All) brought together its 56 Member organizations for its 10th Consortium Meeting anniversary on January 19, 2021. One of the highlights of the [virtual] event was a scheduled high-level conversation between South Africa, Ethiopia, and SuM4all.

Tagged, "Bouncing forward to achieve Sustainable Mobility for all," the members-only meeting brought together a diverse and influential group of transport stakeholders across different sectors to reflect, brainstorm, and map out an action plan for the year 2021 in a session moderated by Heike Litzinger (BMZ), Nicolas Beaumont (Michelin), and Sheila Watson (FIA Foundation). The event also created an opportunity for members to share their expectations for the work program in the run-up to COP26.

Among the many other things discussed, one of the highlights of the event was a scheduled high-level conversation between South Africa, Ethiopia, and SuM4all.

In break-out sessions, members provided feedback on three knowledge products that will provide more specificity to policy actions in the GRA—in the area of data-sharing between public and private operators, the transport-energy nexus, and sustainability of the e-mobility model.  Members agreed that 2021 should test the validity of those concepts on the ground.
